Koena Mitra: Bollywood Actress

Bollywood has found yet another bomb from Bengal. She is the latest sensation and is called Koena Mitra. Winner of Gladrags Supermodel Contest 2002, she went on to become the semi-finalist of Miss Intercontinental. She has also been featured in numerous Music Videos like 'Stereo Nation´s Ishq', 'Aaj Ki Raat', 'Akh Teri', 'Channo' by Jassi and in ads like ACP Whisky, Mirinda, Clinic All Clear and Maruti Alto. She took her audience by storm with her item number in Ram Gopal Verma's Road. Her latest venture Musafir, opposite Anil Kapoor looks promising. Koena aspires to go places.

With the kind of image Koena Mitra has, one would expect her to be controversy's favourite child.

Only the lady insists that she has scrupulously steered clear of the gossip columns.

"I have been in the industry for four years now - two as a model and two as an actor - but I have never been linked to anybody.

Nothing controversial has been written about me, except this rumour about a face job that I had apparently got done. But it was so bizarre that I would term it as wastage of newspaper space," she says.

Surely she can't be leading that colourless a life? "But I am," she says with emphasis. "I am not dating anybody, so there is nothing for me to hide. So, as long as I don't find a hidden camera in my bathroom, I am okay," she says.

And why no boyfriend? "Because I am a difficult girlfriend. Commitment is a big issue for me, I can't envisage a relationship without it. I am not okay with one-night stands and I don't want men branding me as 'last month's girlfriend'."

And while she wants the husband-kids package in real life, she won't do any 'Karva chauth' roles in reel, why? "I will never do a non-glam role. They don't suit me... I am too glam," she answers.

Nauheed Cyrusi: From tv to the big screen

Nauheed Cyrusi is a Mumbai-born model turned Bollywood actress.

Cyrusi started her career as a model, featuring in a slew of commercials and music videos, her most memorable one being Piya Basanti, which brought her to the attention of Bollywood producers. She made her film debut in Padam Kumar's Supari, starring Uday Chopra and Rahul Dev. While the film flopped, director Vikram Bhatt chose her for Inteha opposite Ashmit Patel. More recently, Nauheed was seen as the main lead in choreographer turned director Ahmed Khan's Lakeer, starring Sunny Deol, Sohail Khan, John Abraham and Sunil Shetty. As one of the few Parsi actresses in the industry currently, Cyrusi stands out.

Her upcoming movies include Rockin' Meera and Jaan Ki Baazi releasing in 2006.
